SAY NO TO BRAIN DAMAGE


One great organ that we all possess is our brain. The human brain is what sets men apart from animals. So, it's only natural that we should take good care of it. The following is a list of no-nos for your brain.


1. DON'T LIGHT UP!
Did you know that the nicotine in cigarettes can cause your brain to shrink? If you are a stubborn smoker, your brain will become smaller and smaller, which eventually can lead to Alzheimer's disease!

2. SWAP IDEAS AND OPINIONS.
People who are reluctant to take a part in conversations face a higher risk of reducing the efficiency of their brains. Intellectual conversations are exercise for the brain, like working out is for the muscles.

3. DON'T SKIP BREAKFAST.
If you like to skip breakfast for whatever reason, you are most likely to damage your brain. After a night's sleep, your brain needs nutrients, so don't deprive it of the fuel it badly needs in order to work effectively.

4. DON'T BE A GLUTTON.
Don't stuff yourself when eating. Overeating causes the brain arteries to harden-leading to decreased mental capabilities. 

5. LOSE THAT SWEET TOOTH!
Consuming too much sugar will interfere with the absorption of nutrients an proteins, resulting in malnutrition, which delays the development of brain. So cut down on those sugary snacks and sips.

6. GO FOR FRESH AIR.
If possible, keep away from polluted air. Breathing polluted air means a lower amount of oxygen reaches your brain, and without oxygen for your brain-you might as well be brain dead.

7. SLEEP WITH HEAD UNCOVERED.
Be sure to keep your head uncovered when sleeping because a covered head leads to increased intake of carbon dioxide and decreased intake of oxygen. less oxygen means less adequate brain development.

8. WORK OUT WITH SIMULATING THOUGHTS.
Like a muscle, your brain needs exercise, or it will lose its strength. The more simulating the thoughts, the better the workout your brain gets, resulting in more and better brain power. So read a book, play some puzzle games, or learn a new skill-like playing the keyboard, for example. Just keep that thinker working.

9. SICK? TAKE A REST.
When you are sick, your body and mind both need rest, so burdening them by working when you're sick will reduce the efficiency of your brain and can even cause long-term brain damage.

10. GET ENOUGH SHUT EYE
Sleep is essential for your physical and mental health. It has been proven that the brain cleanses it self of toxins only during the deep sleep cycle. Not getting enough sleep will hasten the death of brain cells, which can lead to impaired memory and reduced capabilities.

       Pada suatu hari Aku telah sampai pada semester 7 di perkuliahan, yang ada mata kuliah Seminar of Research Proposal atau yang biasa di singkat SEMPRO.
